Eric Chelle Releases Super Eagles Starting XI Against Rwanda

Super Eagles coach, Eric Chelle, has released the starting lineup of players to prosecute the much anticipated World Cup qualifying match against Rwanda.

Naija News reports Chelle named Ademola Lookman and Victor Osimhen to lead the team’s attack in the crucial World Cup game.

The duo will be supported by Moses Simon and Samuel Chukwueze on the wings, with Alex Iwobi in central midfield and Wilfred Ndidi in the defensive midfield position.

The defence line is led by captain William Troost-Ekong, with Calvin Bassey, Bright Osayi-Samuel and Ola Aina completing the backline, with Stanley Nwabali in-between the goalpost for the Nigerian national football team.

The match will serve as the debut for new head coach Eric Chelle, a Franco-Malian strategist who was appointed earlier this year.

Chelle will be keen to start his tenure positively, aiming to win the support of fans and earn the confidence of his players.

This encounter is significant for both sides. Rwanda, leading Group C with seven points from four matches, will seek to enhance their advantage while leveraging the home crowd at the 45,508-capacity Stade Amahoro.

A win for Rwanda would reinforce their top position, whereas a loss could jeopardize their standing.
